Earning Project Entropia Dollars (PED) Online With Stuffpoint

Do you have a few TV shows that your a huge fan of?  When your on Facebook do you play the mini games?  Do you spend some time just surfing the net?

If the answer is yes then it is possible to earn some extra PED without playing Entropia.  The key is an online site called StuffPoint.

What is StuffPoint?

StuffPoint is an online fan club site, that gives out points to active members for being fans, and completing little micro tasks.  Once you have earned enough points you can redeem them for thousands of different items.  Just so happens that two of those items are for PED.

Whats makes you an active member?

Active members are those who become members of or create fan clubs.  These fan clubs are for just about anything out there from TV shows to people who just love pizza.

Being an active member is actual pretty easy.  Lets say you have a favorite show that comes on every Wednesday.  Well Wednesday night when you sit down to watch, log into StuffPoint and check-in with your fan club.  Basically give a little shout out and let everybody know your watching.

There are also points to be earned by posting pics to your fan club.  So do you cruise the internet looking for images or are you an active gamer that takes screen shots of awesome wins.  Well find or establish a club for your game and upload your screen shots.  You can earn a share of the points given away every week for just doing it.

What are these micro tasks you speak of?

Micro tasks are thing you can do to earn points that take about 10 - 15 minutes to complete.  These tasks can earn from as little as 100 points to over 1000 points.  So just completing two or three micro tasks a day can up your earnings in a big way.

These tasks can vary from downloading the new Real Player for free, to answering a 15 minute survey on how you watch, buy and rent movies.

How many points do I have to earn to get a prize?

That all depends on the prize you want.  There are literally thousands of prizes you can earn by collecting points.  For me its going to be earning the PED.

There are two point levels here depending on how many PED I want to cash in on.

6,500    StuffPoints = 48 PED
12,500  StuffPoints = 96 PED

The best part about all this, I am going to be gaining points for doing stuff online that I am already doing.  So this doesn't take up any extra time.  It is just a matter of going to StuffPoint to check in on a Tv show or game rather then some other random fan site and earning the points for doing it.

So become a member today and start earning.

When you decide to check it out and sign up  use my reffer link:

Thanks

Ssee you at StuffPoint and in Entropia.

Getting Started With Entropia Universe

This is just a quick write up on the installation of Entropia Universe, hopefully this will help you avoid a few of the installation pitfalls I ran into.

Once you get to the Planet Calypso website, click on the Visit Calypso for Free link, its going start the installation tool.  In the beginning everything is pretty standard.  It's after you get the Client loader, seen below, running you can slow down your ability to get into the game.

Entropia Universe Client Loader
You're going to want to click on the Tools link, in the bottom right corner.  This is going to bring up a window with options that can get you into the game faster or slow it down greatly.

First make sure you maximize your download tread count.  This should help to get you the files you need faster.

Entropia Universe Client Loader - Tools Window - Options Tab

After that you're going to want to click on Dynamic Content.  The options you find here are what can really get you.  There is several gigs of content to download before you can get to playing.  However Entropia feeds you this content in multiple packages.  Picking the right ones to download first is whats going to get you playing faster.

Entropia Universe Client Loader - Tools Window - Dynamic Content Tab
As you can see there are several Planets to choose from.  You are going to want to prioritize this based on the Planet you want your Avatar to be from.  If you choose Arkadia, click the box and start down loading the Planet Arkadia package first.  Leave the other options unchecked for now.  No need to downlaod other planets in the beginning if your not going to have your Avatar spawn there.

This is where I made my initial mistake.  I actually started downloading all the content and was waiting for a couple of hours before I could get out of the Avatar creation phase and start Playing.

If you choose to spawn on Calypso, the option I chose, you will want the Calypso Gateway and Calypso.  Ignore the other planets and dynamic content for now.  Make sure you set the Calypso Gateway to your highest priority, then Calypso as second.

Basically when Entropia Universe starts it does it in several stages.  Here was the order I started in.  Depending on the Planet you chose you may recieve a variant of this content.
  1. Client Loader
  2. Character Creation Mini - Board - Basically this little station you start in and get a basic Universe function tutorial.  Here you will also have the option of completely revamping your avatar.  Change the sex and look even your name right before you leave it.
  3. Crystal Cavern - Another super small board, I received a starter pistol here and a few basic tasks.
  4. Calypso Gateway - This is a decent size map, and there are a number of missions here.  You also receive starting items a various types here.  you wont get this if you skip the tutorial portion.
  5. Calypso - Specifically I went to Camp Icarus.
Because of the way Entropia starts your journey, you will be able to move on pretty regularly from one stage to the next.  You just need to make sure you are only downloading the portions you need to get started.  i f you make the mistake I did and start downloading everything, then you will run into problems and spend a lot of time in the creation and caverns board.

Once you make it to the Calypso Gateway you could probably start downloading all the other content.  the Gateway will take a couple of hours to beat out.  However if you start running into lag while you play consider stopping the additional content from downloading and do it at a later time when you don't have anything else going on with your internet connection.

I hope this helps you get into the game faster and start playing and having fun.

Entropia Universe - An Introduction To An Excellent Game

Welcome to my first post on Entropia Universe.

To start off, Entropia Universe is developed and maintained by MindArk.  The free to play MMO is about 10 years old, however it has undergone some serious updates so it looks excellent.  MindArk is using the CryENGINE to power Entropia, and they are doing a great job with the graphics.  With that said lets get to the good stuff.

General Information:

Entropia Universe is a Free to Play MMORPG.  It is set in the future and has some very satisfying Sci-Fi elements in the game.  The game itself features multiple planets and space for players to explore.

The main theme of the game sets you as a new colonist from Earth to the planet Calypso.  You are able to explore and build your character as you desire.  Entropia Universe offers several venues of character development, Hunting, Crafting, Mining and Trading professions that you can undertake, all pretty standard with the modern MMO.

Players also have a large selection of weapons, armor, vehicles and tools to choose from.  At the start this can be a wee bit overwhelming to the new guy, however you pretty quickly start to see a theme emerging within the naming conventions.  Unlike a large number of other games that use a color code system for items, MindArk has gone with a serialized approach i.e. MK I or MK II, also M2100 or M2600.

The general idea is that the higher the make and model number, usually, the stronger the weapon or armor.  However, there are gremlins in the design, items will be labeled with dozens of Company names.  So a Newbie M2600 gun may be weaker then a BoB Corp M2100 weapon.  Luckily due to the age of the game there are plenty of Wiki's and Support sites that have item lists to help you out.

Game Play:

The game operates pretty smoothly.  There is lag, like every MMO, in high active player zones.  Once you move out a bit into the country this subsides and every thing runs rather smooth.  Unlike some other MMO's Entropia does have some video card requirements to run at it's best, so if your in the middle of nowhere and it is laggy, crank down the graphics.  If a lower graphics setting doesn't help it may be your ISP, you can't play ANY MMO if you don't have a descent pipe.

The game offers a pretty good range of view point as well, you can zoom down to first person or way out to third person, over the shoulder.  Camera angles and movement are smooth and a middle mouse click resets you to behind your avatar, while a second click will have you looking at him straight on.  Useful when pulling Mobs all over the board while walking backwards.

Only flaw in graphics so far is character hand distortion in FPS.  Basically your thumb gets all stretched and bent when you are using certain tools.  Again it is only something you'll notice in FPS.

Entropia actions operate more in an FPS environment, so you wont be Tab-keying over Mobs.  When doing actions I have found it best to zoom into first person view and then move my target over whatever it is I want to interact with.

Costs to Play:

Entropia Universe is a Free to Play game, so how does MindArk make money to keep it going?  There aren't any advertisements, no annoying pop-ups during load screens.  You don't have to spend real money to buy that super gun or super character so you can compete with everybody else.  It's not a pay to win game.

It's easy, MindArk sells Project Entropia Dollar (PED), it is the currency of the game.  That's right, they sell their own coin. So no back room deals on some website wondering if your going to get ripped off.  Then hoping you don't get caught and banned, as some 14 day trial account noob, drops off 10,000 gold into your account.  Any descent game will ban you, why do you think it is always a trail account noob giving you the money, think about it.

Entropia lets you play for free or spend what you want to play.  Best part if you start to get ahead in the game you can sell your PED back to MindArk and get real money, i.e. make a withdraw.  MindArk has set the PED to $1 = 10PED.  Don't start dreaming of riches right away.  Entropia is a little less then a "Zero Sum" game.  In other words your going to break even most of the time, if you play smart.

There is a way to make PED's without spending any money on the game though, harvesting Vibrant Sweat.  This is the playing smart part, if you harvest sweat, before dropping a Mob, especially at low levels, you can start to put a little PED in your account.  There are also several locations for group harvesting of higher level Mobs that can speed up your earnings.

I know what your thinking, that sounds like a grind.  Well give me an MMO that doesn't have a grind built in.  Whether it is low level quest grinding or an end game big boss event, they all got grind.  It is how developers keep us playing.

But should you be truly opposed to any grind, most players say then can get buy making about a $10 - $15 deposit each month.  That is what you would pay for any subscription game.  There are also sites that offer earning PED online.  Best part these sites aren't violating EULA, because they still need to buy the PED from MindARk before they give it to you in game.

Remember it's a "Zero Sum" game, so there isn't a host of free trail players farming Mobs all day messing up your playing experience.  The lack of PED farmers also means a lack of PED seller spam, while you are trying to keep an eye on local.  It is a real Win-Win.

Summary:

So this has been an UBER long first post.  But after playing a week I am completely hooked on this game.  It really is a good experience and something worth checking out.  The game is fun to play, solid graphics, really good community of players (so far), with plenty of things to keep you interested.

Overall the game is free to try out, so if you a have a few hours (or even if you don't) download this game and get playing.  You can find it here:
